Our Senior Pastor, Pastor Wisdom T. Chukwu, formerly known as Brother Tobe encountered Christ at a very young age. He was filled with so much zeal and dedication towards the things of God with his heart constantly panting after God. But sooner or later, the course of his destiny changed as God found him worthy of being the convener of his divine mandate for this age and the next if Jesus tarries. In his quest to get more spiritual understanding and insight to the purpose of God for his life, he proceeded to The Redeemed Evangelical Mission [TREM] God’s Army Bible School, Obanikoro, for a One year full time Bible School in March 1999 as led by the Holy Spirit.
Furthermore, in the year 2000 the month of January precisely, via the instruction of the Lord and in his quest for more spiritual growth, Pastor Wisdom.T. Chukwu proceeded to attending the Word Of Faith Bible Institute [WOFBI] in Living Faith Church A.k.a. Winners Chapel, Banawa, Kaduna State. It was on this mountain the Holy Spirit took him into the realm of the Spirit in a trance and told him “COME LET US SHOW YOU HOW TO START A CHURCH’’. The Lord further said to him, in any city you get into, there are territorial powers, so fast and pray for 21days, bind the powers then go out and tell the people, come and see light.
The next day while in class in Bible School, a deep voice spoke in his right ear “LIGHT OF SALVATION’’ While pondering on the voice and trying to figure out what it meant, he approached his vision teacher who said to him, that is the name of your Ministry; so after the completion of his one year Bible course in WOFBI, he was then ordained by Bishop David Abioye. Fast forward to January 4th, 2001 the Ministry of Light Of Salvation Int’l began with just a member, himself; subsequently the church grew to seven persons who were obviously family members with an offering of 60Naira and Tithe of 140Naira in their first gathering.
Just like every other commission ordained by God, Light Of Salvation Ministry Int’l did not come this far without going through its own share of travails ranging from no good place of worship, no food, no money, worshipping under open roof and so on. But there was a witness in his Spirit that he should continue pressing forward in accordance to Gods word in the Book of Isaiah 66:7; before she travailed she brought forth.
Through his tenacity, total yielding and submission to the Holy Spirit God rewarded Pastor Wisdom with a help meet indeed, a support system, a Mother in Israel, a virtuous woman as recorded in Proverbs 31:30 , in the person of Pastor Mrs Favour T. Chukwu, a woman with great Prophetic unction validated with proofs . Through her they’ve been blessed with three wonderful Children all dedicated to the service of God. From inception to 2023 see where God has brought us, starting with one room to Ogbeke-Square, down to Ochele, then D.L.A road and now Standard Life road with the Semi-permanent site almost at its completion. Our Daddy Pastor Wisdom .T. Chukwu always admonishes us from Gods word in the book of Zechariah 4:10 do not despise these small beginnings, for the Lord rejoices to see the work begin.
